I Have a Cat
Okay-- so I have a cat. I have had one all of my life. 32 years.
I dont want anyone harping on me or lecturing me about what I have to say. I just wanted to share
Im allergic to my cat. I have always been allergic to cats. They give me hives, makes me sneeze and itch and cough. but I love them, so I have one.
My cat is needy. He wants to lay on me, stand at my feet, follow me through the house, sit on my head, lay in my bed, lay on the table when we are eating dinner.
He sleeps in the bathtub, he will sleep in the pot and pan drawer/cupboard, he sleeps on the hot water heater. If you let him, he will climb inside your shirt and sleep.
My cat whines to go outside (he stays close) when he is inside, and when outside, wants to come in.
He has been SLEEPING in his litter box-- just laying there.... THAT is disgusting to me. Then he wants to come in and cuddle in the beds or on the laps of the kids.
GROSS GROSS GROSS. He wont stop. He goes in there and just lays like its a bed. Hes NOT sick. Just so you have that tidbit. He just likes it in the quiet of the bathroom.
I dont know what to do to stop this. Its disgusting and I cannot have him doing this and spreading all of that bacteria everywhere.. on furniture, carpeting and floors.. and little kids hands.
He also has had fleas since he has been going in and out to play, and I have treated him, but now, they are in the house. They jump on the kids, get in the kids hair and I cant seem to get this under control.
Im getting really annoyed with all of these little "germy" things. (Yes I know, if it were a child or other human family member I wouldnt even think twice about these things and wouldnt be second guessing) Im not saying I do not want my cat anymore--- but these things are gross and hard to control and I think that his "issues" are going to make us all sick in the long run. I know that some people are very attached to their animals like children. I dont want angry reponses please re: me being mean or even thinking these things.... (thank you)
