How Much Has Your Dog Cost You? Share!

$1,100 is the most expensive item my dog has destroyed. The headliner of my mom's old suburban.

She left him in the car (with the windows down a little bit, on a nice day, not too hot) for about 10 minutes while she stopped by my grandma's house to say Hi to her. He doesn't like being in smaller enclosed spaces by himself - other than in the crate which he's fine with - when he knows we're nearby.

So he chewwed himself a big hole in the headliner above the window - trying to escape?  and ripped a rubber ***** down and a few wires (they still worked they're just hanging down)  the garage estimated it at being $1,300 and GMC was going to cover it !! they sent my parents a check for $1,300 but my dad decided he'd spend it on something else since it was an older vehicle anyway. My mom found a garage that would do the labor + the $900 or so headliner for $1,100 but my dad never wanted to replace it. So it still is all ripped down, oh well...

Other things he has destroyed include: 

• biting a hole in the back of a couch because my dad shut him in our sun room when there was company - he wasn't happy.
• biting the headliner of MY car and shredding a stuffed donkey I had sitting in the backseat a friend had given me (this was prior to my mom's car, I left him alone for LESS than 2 minutes when I ran into my neighbor's house to let her dog's in from their outside enclosure)
• countless toys - he must kill all toys in 10 minutes or less, other than kong toys.
• socks
• his muzzle that he got ahold of while it wasn't on him - revenge!
• mutluk booties my mom left on him too long
• leashes
• I'm sure theres others but that's what I can think of right now!
