New Job, New Crush

I've not even been at my new job a week, and I've already got a new crush. How weird is that? We met on my first day at orientation. He sits at the cubicle opposite me. The call center where I work has these short cubicles, so you can see everyone around you and not feel too cut off from your coworkers. He's really cute, and we talked during our lunch that first day, and we found out we actually have a lot in common. He went to the same college I did, and we have the same taste in music and tv shows.

I don't have a lot of practice flirting or anything, so I'm just hoping to be friends with him at this point, but oh my god is he cute. Well, at least, I think he's cute. He's got dark hair and gorgeous brown eyes. He's a little on the chubby side, but that's how I like my men. And he's nowhere near as old as the last guy I had a crush on. He's only 27. The last guy was in his fifties. But he's funny and confident, and he just seems so at ease with everything around him. He really made the transition into this new job easier.

So anyway, I'm going to take it slow and just see what develops here. I'm not sure I'm ready just yet to try to jump into anything serious. But a little casual flirting never hurt anyone. :)
