I feel childish when I say crush, but anyway I've been interested in this guy since 2004. Situations in both our lives have kept me from seriously saying something to him. Nonetheless I've kind of joked about it with him and a mutual friend. We've been in flirt mode since 2004. I don't know if hes interested. I guess not, since he hasn't acted on it, but I guess I like that way. I guess just one of those "puppy love" type things. If nothing comes of it, all is well. :)

I'm a guy, and I've had plenty of crushes, and I just want to say that I think society is unfair because its expected that the guy has to go after the girl, and not the other way around. It makes me feel hopeless because I know I'll never act on a crush, so I'm basically sitting by, losing these opportunities. Meanwhile, girls are sitting back and letting themselves have it easy. Ask him out, because he's probably like me.

I know how you feel. I've had a crush on my mate for months now and we used to be really nice to eachother. Then I fell for him and now because of the awkwardness I feel around him the friendship has kinda fizzled out. It breaks my heart as I truly do love him.

The TardyDoDo, thanks for the comment. I just see it as "a great run of flirting," as you stated. We are friends and we are happy with it being nothing more. The first comment was a random person being rude. Oh well, maybe she needs a little flirting in her life. :)
Violation, I don't know your friend's situation, but I hope she has come to the realization that she can do better. This guy is cool. I fell comfortable with him as a friend and know he wouldn't try anything like that. He's 2 years older than me and although we attend the same university, we met in 2003 during Thanksgiving. He is a friend of my brother-in-law.
I hope you all have a wonderful day. Take care! :)

O_O Puppy love?
my ex-best friend dated a man WAYYYYY too old for her and called it puppy love when he tried to force her to sleep with him.

That's a great run of flirting! How do you know he's just not of the same opinion that you are..."if she was interested, she would have given me a sign by now" ;) Still, I know what you're saying. Sometimes it's just good fun to play, and to have the possibility out there. All things in good time, hmm? (And that other comment you got was really weird. If you're being harassed, you can report the user on their profile page, although it sounds like you can handle yourself just fine :) ).

That was really rude. I'm not surprised; your nothing but a little girl trying to act grown-up. Get a life!
