I Have a Dilemma
I was folding my laundry yesterday and when I picked up one of my favorite t-shirts, it had this solid green stain on it. Solid...because it was gum! Completely glued into the fibers. It didn't get on anything else....like the playclothes with the holes in them....no...it had to be MY shirt!! :(
Anyway...I tried warm vinegar and that dissolved it a quite a bit, same with Windex. Running it under super hot water worked some also, but there is still a bit left...enough that it still bugs me. I probably should just give up, but I LOVE this shirt!
Does anyone have any other tricks for getting baked in gum out of fabric? :(
UPDATE....
I got it completely out!! I cannot believe it! Soaking in warm vinegar started to dissolve it. Blasting it with scalding hot water under the tap helped immensely and finally...spray and wash in a hot water wash twice. It didn't even shrink, and you can barely tell where the gum was!
