Boadicea - the Beginning

W e got Boadicea when she was about 4 and 1/2 months old - we bought her home and everything was fine, she was quiet, and lazy and pretty mild mannered.

 

But it all changed...

Now you have to dog-proof EVERYTHING. When we go out  I usually leave her in my room and seriously, you leave anything even remotely breakable below a height of 2 metres and she WILL have it.

Umbrellas, pot pourri, teddies, coasters... She will eat it.

 

The other day I put a couple of chew-toys on the bed for her whilst I was getting dressed, I turned around literally five seconds later - she's chewing away, happy, happy. But.. What? Both of the toys are sitting next to her, untouched, so I wrestle this thing out of her mouth. And it's my ******* razor! She's sitting there chewing my RAZOR! and not even the handle, the ACTUAL BLADES.

Turns out she'd got it off the shelf when I was looking the other way! Luckily it had the plastic cover on it... I'm keeping those in the bathroom now... I think she was chewing it because of the scented bit above the blade... Crazy dog.

Another time my ex came round (this is when we were going out) we were just sitting in my room kissing and cuddling, and Boadicea decides to come and sit inbetween us. Seriously, she WEDGED herself in the middle and refused to move!

I think part of the problem is that she really does think she's human. She sits on chairs, climbs ladders, sleeps IN my bed (with her head on the pillow and her body under the covers) and I just never corrected her... It's cute. I don't have children yet and she's like my child.

Whenever she's done something naughty she'll go and hide on the top bunk so that when you find your brand new shoes ripped to pieces or your dinner plate empty - she's nowhere to be found. But I've figured that one out now ¬_¬

This is Boadicea through the ages... She's nearly three now. She was a right ugly dog when we got her...
