It'll Never Be the Same.

I have a little beagle, Lucy, with the saddest big brown eyes, she melts your heart.  Lucy turned 12 last week, that is 87 in dog years.  My son and I got Lucy when she was 3 months old and my son was 10 years old (he's now 22) , what a wonderful friend for an only child of a single parent.  Lucy has been the sweetest dog, she's so gentle and loving.  With Lucy aging, I sometime think about her passing on and how much I know that is going to hurt.  I will always own a dog, but a dog will never grow up again along with a small child in this house.  It'll never be the same with any other dog.  Lucy will always be very special to us.
