I Have a Dog
Raven is a 7-month-old, 75+-lb puppy that has always been 'my dog', but since my husband left for a job in Colorado (I'm in California.), she's been following me EVERYWHERE. She even jumps into bed with me at sunrise. She 'talks' in her sleep, and sometimes kicks me in the face, but other than that, I guess that I don't mind it so much.
Favourite activities: hiking in the forest, riding in the car with her head hanging out of the window (and going into stores), digging a hole to China in the back yard, trying to escape from the back yard (I think that I may rename her 'Houdini'!) , and insisting on playing 'fetch' at the most inoppportune times. She also seems to enjoy planting sh^t claymores in the yard, and I HATE stepping in dog-do. I wonder if she thinks that's hilarious....
I thought that Great Danes were pretty low on the IQ list for dogs, but she learns pretty quickly, and seems too be able to use deductive reasoning... which, theoretically, is supposed to be impossible. I guess that there's a narrow range of intelligence in dog IQ.
If there are any Great Dane owners/lovers out there,I'd love to here your stories... Maybe you can give some 'tips'!
