have had Peedee Dog for 14 years. I rescued him from the pound when he was 1 year old. Born and raised in California, it appeared that Peedee had been abused. 
He was frighten of the broom, a quick raising of the hand and even loud noises would send him into hiding.
Today, Peedee is happy, still active and in good health! He lives to be outside in the sun. 
He can still get in trouble...But, doesn't any child?
High Five to all of us animal owners to take care of and love our special pets!!

 Feeling sick  | Posted Sep 28th, 2008 at 9:15AM Great story about Peedee. I recently took in a new puppy and he is literally afraid of everything I put before him. Squeaky balls? forget it because they just make him hide behind me. Chew toys? noper he runs and hides. Television? You got it he is afraid of TV. The only toy he will play with is the flannel quilt I gave him for his crate. He has pluses though because he is already house broken and he loves to snuggle with me. I love my little scaredy cat ummm I mean dog lol.   |

Just takes desensitization, positive reinforcement, and of course, patience! :) PeedeeDog, you are such a terrific pet mom! Your little guy is so lucky that you came into his life. He looks so happy and full of fun. When you rescue a pet, isn't it amazing how much they give you in return? |
