didn't use to like dogs . I never used to understand why people would lose sleep, spend money and give so much of themselves to their dogs.
Then on St Patrick's Day of this year I met a toy poodle who would forever change all that. I went to a pet store (yes I know you're not supposed to buy pups from stores) to browse breeds. i was actually looking at Yorkies. But then my mom picked up this little, light apricot toy poodle and my life was never the same.
I named him Captain Mal after one of my favorite characters ( From Firefly).
He is smart. He is adorable. He eats anything and I mean ANYTHING! off the ground, He is mischievious beyond understanding but I LOVE HIM!
My heart actually swells with love when I pick him up and sit him on my lap. I can't imagine my life without him, even if I have lost some sleep and spent over 2k on him already.

  | Posted Apr 10th, 2009 at 9:45AM I've always liked dogs but poodles were never really my thing. Then one day out of the blue my mom tells me one of her co-workers is breeding poodles. I said sure why not and omg. She is the most adorable fluff of snow ever. She's still only 7 months so she;s gonna get bigger. I never thought I'd love a poodle this much.   |
