nd he doesn't like bath time. A few days ago i had to give harry a bath because of all the scratching. He is a little dog a cross between a poodle and god knows what else. I filled the bowl up with lovely warm water and poured the water over him, he looked like a drowned rat and the look on his face would make you tear your heart out. Shampoo and then a good rinse was when the whimpering started and you know why because the water had gone cold. He tried desperately to get out by climbing up my arms while i was trying to rinse all the soap off. My partner called to me and asked if i was killing him, he heard Harry's cries and then had to come to see for himself what the noise was all about. But this is not the story, the story is afterwards when harry is toweled dried.It was the cuddle and harry can give a really good cuddle just like my teddybear.

  | Posted Oct 29th, 2009 at 9:11PM thank you so much for the e-card and notice that you had written this story. i felt the warmth in it! i just gave my (much larger) baby, lola, a bath this week. we can't fit her in a bowl ;) she's close to 37 lbs now, full grown, but i do manage her in the tub. i know what you mean about them look like a drowned rat! i always think that. she cries and "yells" as i call it, for someone to rescue her from the bath. even when we say "bath!" she goes and hides in our room :0) very cute story.   |
