Funny how I view dysfunction as "normal" until I see what a normal life actually is.

Sometimes my family reminds me of a bunch of string, tied together tighter then what is comfortable. I'm the stray piece trying to cut myself loose, but alas, a piece of string has no hands, and thus will never be able to use the scissors.

Not loopy, exactly, just in a bit of a mess... And bound together tighter then what is healthy haha.

Maybe you could twist yourself into a loop that passes through the handles of the scissors, around the back of a chair and back through between the blades of the scissors, then if you grab the end of that loop between your teeth.... oh, wait a minute. A piece of string has no teeth, either.<br />

I like your analogy of the family as a tangled ball of string, RunningBlue. They sound pretty loopy. ;-P
