My Family Is Crazy And I Am The Only Sane One

I am 27 years old and I have a family who are all 16. My sister who is 4 years younger then me is out of control. She does one bad thing after another and my parents forgive and forget. I get phone calls from my mom at least once a month about how she is fed up with my sister and is done, and two days later she is bailing her out and giving her money again. I can't take it anymore. I feel like I am an outcast in my family because I am the only one who recognizes how screwed up everyone is. My sister is getting worse the older she gets and my parents are trapped in her spell she has over everyone. They keep enabling her and I am gonna be stuck with the mess when they pass on. My parents get mad at me because I don't want anything to do with her. Please help me

    You are going to be 'stuck with the mess' and guess what - the fact you remain solid like a rock in turmoil means you are perfectly capable of doing so. It isn't fair, but life is never fair. There is something to be said about how wonderful the bond between sisters can be when one learns to forgive and live with compassion. I was estranged from my older sister most of my years since she moved out when I was 15. We even stopped talking for a while, but now at 25 she has forgiven whatever ignoring I did and our bond is so wonderful, I wouldnt give it up for the world! My other sister is a wild whirlwind about to be pregnancy tested after betraying her vow of abstinence before marriage. She is wild and uncanny and doesnt want to keep in touch much, but she'll get here eventually, we all shoulder her burdens, having lent her gross amounts of money, etc. But hopefully instead of being upset about it, we will have another baby child to bond with and our relationship will eventually seal and can experience sisterly bond again.

    consult a professional. get counselling. some random person on the internet isn't in a position to see the whole picture and advise appropriately.
