I Have A Reason For Having A Real FB Page

I have been able to "reconnect" with people from elementary, junior high and high school through FB. Since I have relocated, I am able to stay in contact with more real friends that I cannot see as often; we share pics, birthdays, etc. I don't play the games that FB offers and I don't get into the social groups; I am just there to connect with real life friends and "new friends" that I have not met yet. I keep my FB page "secret" to just my friends so I don't worry about who may see it. I don't post VERY personal info on it at all. I like keeping up with them on FB.

I completely support this way of using the social medium. I've been able to stay in contact with many friends that I don't get to see more than once a year if that but am still close to. It's a great tool when used correctly. Cheers to you my friend!

Its also a good way to keep eye on what kids are up to,they keep forgetting I'm a friend!

  lol...that's a good one! I have my niece on mine and a few children of friends of mine who I "watch out for"...my son isn't old enough yet to play on the c'puter.

  Wow! as your son how old is he? as nephew as age of like 4 or 5 got his facebook profile lol :p but glad that you keep it hidden and don't mention much of your life there.

I have a Facebook page also to reconnect with family and friends and I also run a support group for Air Force Moms. My husband is retired AF and we moved so much, you just lose contact with friends. Also most of my family is in Germany and it is an easy way to stay in connect with them on a daily basis.

I have a Facebook page too; helps me stay in touch with family who live out of my state and a few friends who live out of the country I live in. Good idea.
