    HI vault2007

Do you ever think that the health model is inadequate to the human mental condition or phenomena? I mean what if you ditched it and just said everyone was within the normal range of human. In the past the health model has at least varied in who it includes. Could the model include other human behaviors like greed and meanness even? Interesting you are so interested.

    Best wishes

    :)

I believe that the health model is constructed primarily for business and marketing purposes, not for the benefit of the patient. It is so that the medications can be marketed for maximum profit. This is why there are so many depressed people on antidepressants remaining depressed (myself included, lol). Greed, Meanness- could technically be the very catalyst for the health model in the first place! What do you think?
