Two Fat Cats Here :(

they were dumpster kittens when my friend found them and brought them to my ex and i. they were so cute we couldn't say no. that was about 10 years ago. now, i'm no longer with my ex. i feel like partially it's because of that that they are as heavy as they are. i know it doesn't really matter whose fault it is. they are about 30 lbs each. the boy is a larger cat overall than the girl.. she has a hard time grooming herself. i feel horrible about it. i wish i was a stronger person.. but if i don't feed them they eat grass outside or dust bunnies off the floor and barf. i got them a new feeder, where they have to get their food out with their paw one piece at a time, that seems to help a little bit. i can't think about them dying, i have never had a pet die. that is one of my biggest fears.

Its very hard to loose a pet!
I had to put mine (cat) to sleep 3 weeks ago because he developed cancer in the mouth. He was 16 years. I still miss's Gertjie very much!

Sometimes weight saves them. I had a fat cat who had cancer, and she was given 1-3 months to live. She lasted 18 months. She went from 14 pounds to 3. If she wasn't fat, I am sure she would not have lasted as long as she did.
