Dad's Daily Deeds

Even though my father is a retired minister with alzheimer's, he continues to minister to people around him everyday.

Almost intuitively - with the innocense of a child, he reaches out to those around him in need without any concern/realization of his own circumstance.

I can still remember him preaching from the pulpit on Sunday morning that "we must have the faith of a child to enter into the kingdom of God".

Today, I believe dad is truly entering into God's kingdom with the innocense he used to preach about.

My father is in the late stages of Alzheimers disease. It has been so tough on my family. It's good to know we are not alone.

My thoughts are with you, too. I lost my father this year to this disease. It is a difficult thing to deal with. Your father sounds like a wonderful man.

My prayers are with you, dealing with this disease. Its a tough one but certainly with bring out the fruits of the Spirit to get you through.

That is truly beautiful and insightful of you. I think the apple has not fallen far from the tree.

Your father seems to be a true gem of a man.
