A Not So Fond Memory

just a quick story:

My family took a trip to Yellowstone when I was about 14. It was supposed to be a lot of fun. We had the big motor home out on the road. Brothers playing Sega Genesis. Me reading my endless Rolling Stone Magazines. It was perfect. Then all of a sudden came the downfall. My mom decided to lock herself in the back, which was the bedroom/kitchen. She layed in bed the whole ride through North Dakota on to Montana.

When we stopped to visit Ol' Faithful my mom was no where to be found. My Dad was awesome. He took us to see all the sites.

Years later I found out that my mom wanted to take a bus back from Montana and kill herself at home. She should have gotten help back then instead of letting it build up for so many years.

This story just came to mind because my mom got out of the psyche hospital last night after a 7 day suicide scare.

I'm so sorry. I can relate...my mother tried to kill herself 3 or 4 times throughout my childhood up until I was 15. Up to this day, she has never been diagnosed nor treated for her depression.
