I Have a New Job
I would like to note that I am still in university - this is a JOB not a CAREER.
I feel like writing about my new job because right now it is the biggest - most relivent part of my life.
Starting a new job has never been easy for me - I am a creature of habbit and I tend to "nest" into situations. I have many friends who jump from job-to-job, work two or three jobs at a time, etc. etc.... but not me. When i find a job that I like I stay there for as long as possible. My previous job I worked at for almost two years (which for a student is a LONG time in compairason to others). Leaving that job was really hard for me because I was so comfortable with the people I worked with and I knew my job inside-out!
Last week I started at my new job and I was extremely nervous. It was the same type of job as my previous one, but a lot more advanced. I am almost two weeks in and I am still in the process of training but so far I really do enjoy it!
I think that the part that I love most about my job is that it is a family run business so the environment is Great! Everybody is really friendly, easy to get along with, and extremely welcoming! The majority of the office staff is related, and those who aren't have been with the company for a long time so they are as close as family. At the same time the fact that they are friendly doesn't interfere with the business. Everybody who works there is extremely motivated and hard working - from the head of the company to the bottom line workers... they all work hard and have a good time! Their hard work motivated me to work harder!
Anyways - I guess I wanted to document this because like all jobs there are going to be bad days - bad weeks - heck, there will probably be bad months... so I would like to remember the "good times" so to speak.
