My Mum Died Because of Multiple Sclerosis

A ll of my life I remember my mum having multiple sclerosis (I've lived with my gran since I was eighteen months old). She never seemed to let it get her down though, and her smile could light up a room. She never liked it  if people stared at her in the street, and always imparted a few of her choicest swear-words! She got steadily worse and moved into a nursing home in 2002 aged 32. She got steadily worse from there, and was in and out of hospital with UTI (Urinary Tract Infections) In 2006, at christmas she was in Leeds Infirmary for two months where she developed epilepsy and caught c-diff. She then went back to the nursing home until march of this year with respiratory pnuemonia and gallstones. We were looking for a new nursing home that could care for her needs more when we heard that she had been sent to a hospital in Bradford, ill. When we got there she was on 100% oxygen and was cold and clammy. It took a long time to get a doctor down as her pager wasn't working and she informed us that she didn't think that my mum would survive the night. Mum later died at quater to midnight, but at least she had her family with her. If there is anyone else in a similar situation, please get in touch.
