    I agree that women are not commodities. Change has to happen from within, doesnt it? Mothers must stop handing their daughters over for genital mutilation and men must speak up and say that it is not acceptable. Men who kidnap girls and rape them into marriage must be punished by their communities. Women across the world have to stand up and support each other and say no even onto death, as they are being murdered and brutalised anyway. Even here there is a lot of work to be done. It's overwhelming really, but like any elephant must be eaten one bite at a time. Sorry if my comment is disjointed, there is just so much. The UN declaring something illegal wont stop it happening.
