Employer Experience With The Reasonable Accommodation Process

I requested a reasonable accommodation at work.  I would like to know if others have asked their employers for a reasonable accommodation (RA) and what their experience was like.  Did your employer seem supportive or your request?  Or did they seem annoyed? 

I work for a large company so there are lots of procedures in place for RA.  However, I get the sense that the employer's attitude is such that it was a burden for them to have to deal with my requests.  They only seemed willing to do the minimum to get by. 

 I need to know from others how their RA process went and how they felt they were treated. I don't know anyone else who I can talk to about this.  I have not been able to find any resources on the internet so I can get feedback about this.  If you know any websites please let me know.  Thanks.

    Interesting comments so far. The process felt Hostile to me. Like "whY are you bothering us with this trivial little task." And if we listen to your trivial request and should we decide to bestow even one little of Part of your requEst--don't ask for anything after this."



    Hmmmm. TheRe seems to be a lot of polices, proCedUres and even the federal government is involved in RA. Yet interactions around this issue, from my experIence, from employers is an attitude of lack of reSpect for the reasonable accommodation (RA) process. Almost hostile. This attitude seems inconSistent with the "intent" of RA.



    Anyway....what ideas do you have for what would be a RA for this condition?

    reasonable accomidation you might as well have asked them to fly you to ther moon since most are of the attitude they are doing you a huge favor by hiring you even if they put out a want ad begging for workers
