This doesn't compare to other stories in this group. My experience wasn't too bad. Back in May I was working on the rider mower, replacing the motor with a working used one. Took out the old motor and went to get the "new" one out of the truck. I had a good hold on it, or so I thought... I stepped around something and that caused the motor to pitch forward. Since I just bought it, I held on to the motor trying to ease it down to the ground. Thought it all was ok, til I looked at my hand. I sliced my palm open pretty deep, and had a bunch of oil, grease, and God knows what else packed in the wound. Within a second I had blood covering my arm and dripping. Ended up going to urgent care. Had to get out scrubbed clean before I finally got a numbing shot, which still don't really work on me. I just made the best out of the situation by making jokes. What else could I do. Ha. Luckily my hand functions correctly, and I didn't lose strength in it. It was my dominant hand. Just have this ugly, painful numb feeling scar on my palm.
