My Scars Tell Stories...

Well, I guess my first scar came around when I was 1 year old. I had chicken pox. I have a scar on the bridge of my nose. (what's kind of ironic is that my husband has one on the bridge of his nose too.)

When I was in 4th grade, I was reaching into the seat to get my seatbelt...it had fallen into the seat again. I reached in and something caught on the back of my right hand. I pulled my hand out, and now I have a lovely scar on the back of my hand. (when I scar, they stick out...called keloid (sp?) scars...) I still have this scar to this day.

The day I moved to Minnesota, right before 6th grade, I wrecked my bike after they got it out of the truck. Okay, I hit a parked car. I got 7 band aids on my elbows and knees. I still have the scars on my knees to prove it.

When I was in middle school, I was on a retreat with my church. I was turning one of those circular fans (the ones that sit on the floor) over to point it on the other side of the room...My middle finger slipped into the fan (the fan was on high) and it stopped the fan. I didn't cry until I looked at it. there are still scars on my finger.

I even have scars from rope burn in gym class in high school. And an orange peeler...man! I really have scars from the wierdest things...
