Patella Problems

All my life I was just a normal kid. Loved to play outside, had plenty of friends, and had a  loving family. What I didn't know was that my muscles weren't strong enough or large enough to do their job. Now of course, I have always been active, played soccer, basketball, swimming lessons and many more! You would think that because I play that would mean that my legs are strong. Wrong! It turns out that my bones are shaped differently, and that's what caused my knee injury. On July 3, 2009 I was running through my house(goofing around with my little bother) and I turned a sharp corner, and next thing I know I'm on the ground and my knee cap is not where it's supposed to be. Yes we called 911 and I got to go to the ER in a ambulance, and yes I had to do weeks of physical therapy and wear brace all summer ,but I am really glad I had that experience. Through all of the turmoil I did learn that we shouldn't take things for granted, and even if you think you aren't you really are because I sure didn't think my summer could end just because of a injury. Boy, was I wrong! So be thankful for your good health and your bones being in the socket because you wouldn't believe how important they are!
