Cancer Ain't All Of It.

We found out in October that my wife has pancreatic cancer. She had surgery to remove the tumors but they couldn’t get all of it. While in the hospital she became ill with TTP (a blood disorder she’s had before). She returned to the hospital this week because of the TTP and had a reaction to the treatment. She is also having trouble with pain in her abdomen. They did a cat scan and have not determined if she will need surgery for that. She can’t start chemo or radiation treatments until the rest of this is sorted out.

I'm glad that you can write about what is happening, getting this out has to help just a little. I understand how stressful it is to see a loved one hurting and struggling with illness and setbacks. Hugs and care to you Deanekone. I hope your precious wife feels better soon.

We're in the last two weeks of chemo and radiation. This is supposed to be the worst. Hopefully things will get better after that. Thanks for your concen.

I'm very sorry to hear about your wife's complications... She's very lucky to have you taking care of her. I took care of my grandfather before he passed away, and I am currently taking care of my old grandmother, so I can empathize with your situation... My warmest wishes to both of you. Hope she gets well soon.

She is feeling better and with some new medication may be able to come home this week. Thanks for your concern.
