I had my son Caleb William on May 26, 2012.  He came into this world weighing a whopping 7lbs 6oz, LOL.
All he does right now is eat, poop, and sleep which is fine by me because I need some rest.

Mom said enjoy this quiet time while I can because when he starts walking and talking, getting some rest will be a joke.
Dad told us that when he becomes a teenager then the fun really starts.
My mother-in-law said dealing with him when he gets his first "true love" will make life very interesting.
My father-in-law told me to be prepared to worry about him for the rest of my life, even when he's grown with his own family, I'll still worry.

My husband and I are just enjoying being parents right now because we thought we'd never get the chance to do so.
Our parents are enjoying their grandson and have bought him so much stuff.
We are so paranoid that I moved the crib into our bedroom, LOL!  Actually it was my husband's idea.
My husband can't wait to start teaching him all the "manly" things, whatever the hell those are.

I'm just enjoying being a mommy.

I love you Caleb.

I still just stare at him because I didn't think I'd ever have a child of my own.

Well I read ur bipolar story and I came across this. I too have a son. He is 5 and yes enjoy the time when he is immobile! His father and I moved his crib into our bedroom as well. It's easier at that stage. Soon he will be climbing out of it!!! Then around 5 is when the back talking starts!!!! Terrible 2s lol wait until 4 1/2 5!!! The "I hate you starts" I cried and cried and cried some more!!! I asked my friend who has a 8 year old if it was normal, she laughed. Boy oh boy...I will spare you the stories...I'm sure you will have many if your own! Much luck hold on its a never ending ride! ;o)

He's 5 1/2 months old right now and doing the jibberish talk. he seems to be growing up so fast already.

Beautiful :-) he is a gift ..

yes he is a true gift and I'm thankful.

Pretty cool aint it? I look at my kids and stare... They stare back and say what's up dad, I say nothing... It's the best thing ever. Have fun, enjoy each day.

OMG!!! I'm having so much fun just watching him. I'm pretty sure this will weird him out when he's like 16 though, LOL!

Ya, my kids are like Daaaa'd. Funny. I just tell them they will understand when they have eggs of there own....

Your parents and you in laws are stating some very true facts. I have three son's one of which is my nephew who we adopted. We worry every day about them even when they are just running around the house. but it is the greatest thing in the world and the best job in the world. Congratulations, welcome to hell (i joke) Enjoy.

LOL, Thanks!!!

=D congrats!!!! its the most wonderful thing in the world to finally hold your child in your arms after waiting for so long =)

Yes it is a wonderful feeling. It felt like it took forever for him to get out of there, but it was well worth the wait.
