I Have A Spouse That Has Dissociative Identity Disorder
Fay has been out a few times since we came back from PA. She recently has come out to teach me sign language. You see, Fay is mute.
She wants me to learn sign so her and I can communicate without needing another inside to speak for her. We can write things down, but she really doesn't like that.
The other day, I asked her how she was feeling and she told me she was happy. She is excited to because her nephew and nieces are coming to visit.
I have seen a lot of progress from her. She holds shame and was always so sad. She just wanted to be left alone. For her to say she is happy brought tears to my eyes.
It is nice to finally get to know her and see what her personality is. She is good natured, kind, and caring. She is also poetic and a very good writer.
I look forward to watch her continued healing and to get to know her even more.
