Plugging Things In

I know this is weird. But I absolutely HATE to plug things in. (I even get a little nervous unplugging them) When I was little, I put a key inside an outlet and it made a "pop" noise and the lights dimmed. It scared the crap out of me. Ever since then (at least I think that's what caused it - who knows), I hate dealing with cords and electricity. Even screwing a light bulb in makes me a little nervous sometimes!

I know exactly what you mean! It's very unnerving to plug in or unplug from a socket that does not have a switch - I like everything to be as "off" as possible. Putting in lightbulbs is the same; I hate putting in a new bulb if it's a 2-way light switch, I can't be sure the light is switched off. I see people in films and on television calmly unscrewing a lit bulb or screwing one in, I couldn't do it. <br />
I've started to get nervous of light switches, in case the bulb blows as I switch on.
