Way to look at the bright side, S. That's tough news about the car though! Hope they can fix it affordably...

It has so many problems the only thing that can help is taking a sledgehammer to it. I have to have a sense of humor...

That's a good way to be....

what two books?

A Confederacy of Dunces...came highly recommended :)
And The Book of Salt by Monique Truong....looked interesting to me...
And also books that were on my list...
Watership Down, Zen and the art of Motorcycle Maintenance and a Sue Grafton I didn't have...U is for Undertow. They also put two on a list for me. :)

Reading it first...thank you for the suggestion. I love those. :))))

Zen is on my shelf. Like many books I have, I am never able to finish them.

I'm a bit obsessive, If I love a book...won't put it down. 2 days if I'm fortunate.

I highly recommend Zen and the Art of Motorcycle maintenance as well as The Book of Salt

Suck about your car! What were the books? I'm reading my Christmas present, "Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking." I got Stephen Levine's book from Powell's yesterday, "A Year To Live: How to Live This Year As If It Were Your Last."

More for my new book ideas. I read everything I can get. :))))

That car....aaargh. I suck at cars. Ugh.
