I have an A+ mother , a B- birth father , and have tried to trace my ancestry as much as possible. I can't do much on my Grandma's side (her only living sister is also A+ like my mom), because she claimed both sides of her family were native american descent and I can't go back very far.
I'll state my personality and physical features and the such first:
Chestnut color hair at birth, hazel eyes, light complexion, 5'3 now, little to no gray hair showing yet. I'm soon to be 47, am usually 'guessed' around early to mid 30's, slim build, no abnormalities physically, WAS ambidextrous, but I don't use my left hand enough, anymore, so I'm slow and sloppy when I do. For my size I'm pretty strong, also strong natured. If I'm 'tempted' with something I disagree with on moral principal, I won't budge or be swayed... If I'm luke warm in my opinion, I'm open to hear both sides and may or may not do/act/agree/disagree or remain neutral on a subject. I've seen more heartache than most, but can not be kept down and remain upbeat and positive most of the time. I'm not fast to anger, but it's not advisable to push, because I can GO there and 'be in your face', and not skip a beat if the anger comes from a bully. I HATE bullies and will confront them, regardless of size or gender. I am extremely protective of my friends and family, will stick up for someone's character if they're not there to defend it, (If I know it to be false about my friend or family member), but if it's true, though not trying to be mean, I will have to agree openly, if asked. I won't lie for them. My biggest weakness is being in a position of helplessness. At those times, I don't know, even, what I'd do at any given moment, but it might begin as fear but will eventually turn to Anger, and if pushed, I feel I would attack, but luckily I've not been pushed that far. My reputation is as a giver, helping people, but being outspoken. If I'd say it behind your back, it's because I've already said it to you directly, and you didn't change a behavior or action, so, no, I have no problem letting other's be wary... and why. For that reason, I don't consider it 'idle gossip', though others might.
I am from a divorced set of parents, have 3 full siblings, two half siblings and I can't count the steps-siblings... I was married once, to my best friend, had a child with him and she was born at home with a midwife. I fear doctors, as a rule. She was born healthy, taken to a 'doctor' for verification upon my parents prior to birth request. She was pronounced "healthy" . She was not. She was born without an Aorta, and had a twisted heart and holes between the cambers. This was not found until the age of 1.5 years of age. The surgery was unsuccessful. It seems a miracle a baby can be born without an aorta, and live so long. It is because she had a vessel NOT close off after birth that normally would have. It was devestating on so many levels, but she taught me that I had never smiled much, before, because the smiles she brought hurt my facial muscles from over use. It was the first experience of true unconditional love. I was separated by the time of the operation and divorced thereafter. You'll note that I write 'biological father' and in most circumstances that's code for not worthy of the title father or dad. After my divorce and several bad tries, one of which I had a child with but couldn't stand his need to be more and more controlling nature, so I moved to California and went to college and had the baby. I graduated and the state of California went bankrupt that year (didn't even know that could happen) and while going to the 'job board' on campus, I found a position teaching English in Korea. I sold almost everything and with my son and $400.00 cash, we went. I do well under pressure. My parents thought I'd be sold in slavery, get drugged up by my 'boss' and used as a sex slave! (Guess I know where I get my creative thinking abilities!) I liked it so well, I renewed my visa and stayed another year. When I returned, I found our family business was failing and checked the books. The manager was heavily skimming.
Not ONE of Grandma B's ancestors are on roll with any tribe, but through searching on line, I have found that the Algonquin's (Mohican, Black foot, etc...) from the north are 82% (if I remember correctly) A+ blood type. She told us we were Cherokee(must be the males side), and her father and grandfather both filed for Cherokee Status, but were denied... her grandfather was married to an (Apparent) native American, based on physical features and complexion from a photo, and she was from Pennsylvania. That's in the northern area, I guess, (depending on how you mean northern) as the Algonquins were stated to be in the northern United States. The Pennsylvania ancestor was married to my GG grandpa, who's family was from Kentucky, HIS Grandpa was a minister in Whitley Co, KY when it first became a county etched out from what was formerly Knox CO... Living there was John Ross (who later became Chief John Ross of the Cherokee), and other Native Americans. President Andrew Jackson did a FABULOUS job of breaking up and tearing down the Native American population. I thank him, personally, for the inability to connect with either Algonquin or Cherokee ties. He is the destroyer of American Indians and without integrity. The Cherokee saved his butt in Horseshoe Bend. Besides the Algonquins being A+, most Native Americans are O+.
One of the wives of a (supposed) native American great great great great grandpa was reported by another distant relative/genealogist to have her family back to a king in Scotland. I have no clue, as she got better info than I, but she has a website (bloodroyale?) I think... so Scottish from several sides, anyway. I'm guessing Basques/European due to the negative Rh.
My biological father was B-, as stated, and my half sister did our genealogy on his side. HIS father was a minister, as was each father before him, and before America, they are traced to be first Welsch and then English descent (then American) There is a city named with his surname in that territory. It can be traced only as far back as the 1500's... (Better than the late1700's on my Native American side, though!) My paternal grandma was from (we think) Germany. Her mom came to America from Germany, but we're not sure if Grandma was actually born here or there. Her mom died young and she was raised by her moms sister and husband. Not by her father, whom was also just arrived from Germany. Genealogy stops early, in Germany.
Well, there you have it. I'll wait to hear from others.
