Trouble Sleeping

I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 16 but we didn't start medication until the age of 17 on my psychiatrists recomendation. I pretty much have been on Vyvanse with a few trys with Daytrana and a breif try on Concerta. I am a college student and have a very vigorous course load. I am a Pre-med (Biology major) student and have managed to maintain a 3.9 GPA. I also have GAD for which I take Fluoexitine. I have found that when i take Vyvanse I CAN NOT sleep. It doesn't matter what time I take it. I have tried to take it very early in the morning and it doesn't make a difference. Sometimes it gets so bad I take Nyquil so that I can sleep. I have tried, melatonin, sleepy time tea which has St John's wort, melatonin, valaerian but this does not help at all. Over the summer while I had no classes i did not take Vyvanse at all. Now I am back at school and the very first day I took it ( at 0830) I found myself awake ALL NIGHT long.

Does anyone out there have the same issue? Has anyone found anything that works for sleep. I don't want to ask for sleeping pills knowing that this is just another chemical added to my body which probably has its own risks as well. I don't have any issues when I'm off of it.

Desperately seeking input!!
