Hi my name is Ryan and I'm going to share my experience in dealing with alopecia with all of you. I found out I had alopecia areata when I was about 16 years old. I was just going into my junior year of HS. Nobody knew what to think other than to stare and make jokes about it. The worst part of my Alopecia is that I still have patches that cover the back of my head and they are atrocious. Im now in college and I notice everyone looks at me as if I'm from a different planet. No matter how close I shave I can't get the patches to disappear. Girls give me weird looks and some of them even laugh. It's really depressing because I think to my self and say I will never be with a girl who loves me for who I am. I'm still struggling in this never ending battle today. If anyone has had some of the same experiences as me please let me know.

It sucks that people are so superficial and don't even give you a chance Bcuz you seem like a nice guy.hugs !!!👐💕

Thank you so much!! I'm glad you know the reality of it just like I do. Some people can be so shallow..

I remember we had a school dance and this guy had alopecia and he wore a hoodie but you could still tell cuz he had no eyebrows and he was rlly nice and funny but he was shy and when he stopped being shy he became rlly popular
