I Was Just Diagnosed With Asthma Today

I've probably had it for years, but i don't wheeze.  I just get a feeling like a giant hand is squeezing my chest.  I wonder if getting it treated will make me have more energy?

I was diagnosed with atypical asthma & exercise induced asthma. I've started on flovent and albuterol for exercise, and I cant even describe the difference this has made in my life. I didn't think I could have it, because I don't wheeze much, just very occassionally and quietly, but I found this link with less common symptoms of asthma: http://www.webmd.com/asthma/guide/unusual_asthma-symptoms

I have so much more energy that I had before, and it keeps getting better everyday.

You'll be able to breathe, which will help with having more energy.
