For Depression And Anxiety

I had my first session with a hypnotist today. A lot of people go to get help with addictions, concentration problems, compulsive behaviors, etc. I wanted help coping with anxiety, depression, fear, and my negative self-image.

For the record, when you see a hypnotist for psychiatric help, it's nothing like stage hypnotism. It's impossible to be hypnotized against your will and have someone control your mind. In fact, it's just the opposite; it's about enabling you to take better control of your mind, your feelings, your attitude, your perception of the world around you.

Even after just this first session, I really did feel a difference in my attitude. I was very calm, relaxed. Cheerful, even. I felt a heightened sense of awareness and confidence.

People can only change for the better if they WANT to change, and I think hypnotism definitely reinforces that idea. The doctor told me, "All hypnosis is self-hypnosis" and taking charge of your own negative thoughts of emotions before they consume you. I thought it was a great experience.

I watched a show...apparently Tara Banks thinks her eyes are ugly. She would change them...as crazy as it seens she does...To be honest I bet its the same for you.

I completely agree. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis.

I wonder if you have had any other sessions?
