I Have Been Over 100 Mph
I have been over 100 mph more times than I recall. I've done it in a car and a pick-up, an airplane(of course), a motorcycle, a train and a sled.
I've twice been in boats supposedly capable of 100 mph speeds but didn't go over 60 mph in either. I have ridden - not driven - a bass boat at 80 mph on the boat's speedo. Boat speedometers are NOT known for their accuracy. I'll add that bass boat drivers are not known for their sanity and decision-making.
I can say that I would far rather go 100 mph in anything other than a boat. Hard surfaces are much better for maintaining vehicle-to-surface contact.
I wouldn't rule out cruising the interstate again at 100 mph, given the right traffic and group of cars moving at that speed. But I don't see myself doing it anymore on any of the others save for trains and planes. I think I've got the testosterone thing pretty well under control at this point in life ... not that I regret any of the limits I've pushed ... or the thrills they've given me.
