I've been to all the garden spots of the world, thanks to my government sponsored tourism program...Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan! In my travels to and from these places, I've also been to Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, The Netherlands, Turkey, Dubai (UAE), Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan...I think that's it. I'm very much looking forward to moving to Germany this winter for my first true overseas ASSIGNMENT. I'm looking forward to seeing Europe. I'm especially keen to go to Scotland and Ireland to see where my family comes from (and maybe do some genealogical research).

I've been to France, Germany, Spain, Latvia (if connecting flights count) Monte Carlo, Italy, Cyprus, the USSR as it was and Las Vegas in the USA :D

Your so freaking lucky

I was interested to see you've been to Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan. What was that like? I'll be in Tajikistan for a work assignment in a few weeks for the first time and find the region fascinating. Spent a good amount of time in the Caucasus, mostly Georgia, and earlier, some time in Russia studying Russian, in college. Of course Tajikistan culturally will be very different. I love Scotland, have been a couple of times for short visits and traveled throughout the UK and Ireland as I was studying in England. Hope you enjoy it when you go.

Interesting, thanks! Hope to visit Kyrgyzstan especially, at some point. Wonder how much Russian will be spoken in Tajikistan...
