I Keep Going Back

I've had more holidays in Wales than anywhere.  Last Summer and the Summer before I stayed at Marloes Sands YHA,  and went to visit the beautiful puffins on Skomer Island.  This year I have just spent a few days at Cardiff.  The bus service is amazing,  and I was able to travel on one ticket to walking distance of beautiful hills.  Garth Hill was gorgeous, North of Cardiff, as well as much of the Ridgeway paths in the same area.  I also went south of Cardiff to Swanbridge, near Sully which had a gorgeous traditional pub selling real Welsh ale (Brains).  From Cardiff I was able to visit town, riverside, Castles (I had tea at Castle Coch), hills covered in snow, and the seaside, all in a few days.  The Welsh people are so friendly and welcoming, and I will certainly be going back there again.

You're lucky to live in Wales, Welshbabe, but there again, I'm lucky too, as I am only just over an hour's train journey away from Cardiff myself. I think Snowdonia might be due for a visit next year! I've already climbed Snowdon and swam in Lake Idwal, but that was a few years ago.

Ooh! i'm so pleased you enjoyed your trip to Wales oh! yes the people are really so very friendly and welcoming! :-) <br />
