Better Than Ever

I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder in the 8th grade. I was put on medications for it....but I felt, not like myself. I didnt like the idea that the medication could be altering my moods, it was just a strange feeling.

I took the medication for three and a half years, and I have been off of it for about a year.

Granted, I do have my bad days and horrible mood swings, but I feel better being off the meds. I feel more like me, because I have found more constructive ways to ease my moods rather than taking pills- I found activities that work for me, like writing and drawing.

Seems a little hard to beliieve that being off of meds is such a good idea And thinking you are at your best
When I think I am at my best there is usally because I am manic and of course it is just the high that I am feeling and not the fact that I am really not at my best

But it woprks for you good luck and happy life

That only works sometimes other times you can not focus on anything...

I do the same... writing books, poems, songs, and drawing, painting, most
of the time i am so gone i can not do any of those things.

Though i am happy for you if they work for you :)
