I know what you're saying. I don't know how old you are but I had just turned 25 when I found out I had colon cancer in 2005. Everyone (including my doctors) kept on saying "Colon cancer is for people 50 and older..." as if that would console me in some way and make me feel better.

Just stay positive and don't lose hope. I refuse to let Cancer rule my life. Live as normal a life as possible between chemo treatments. I have also accepted the fact that I could die from this disease and that's okay. I take each day, week, month as it comes and I don't miss out on any opportunity I can spend with family and friends. And I tell them as often as I can how special they are to me.

I'm not going to pretend that it's easy, it's not. I have days when all I want to do is sit down and cry and when I have those days, I sit down and cry. We're allowed to and it makes you feel a hell of a lot better.

I pray that you have the strength to get through all your treatment and tests.

    Good Luck.
