Felt At 14, Diagnosed At 15

I am from Los Angeles. It took the entirety of my freshman year of high school to diagnose me. I am currently a senior, and just turned 18. I had intense pain in my left humerus (upper arm). I went to the ER several times but the doctors couldn't figure out what it was. They decided to do an invasive surgical biopsy to determine whether it was cancer, osteomyelitis, or Langerhans. When nothing cultured, they did another, even more invasive surgery (curettage). Later, the same feeling surfaced in the RIGHT humerus, and they did the same surgery there. While they both worked, we ended up realizing that they may have been unnecessary. My right arm was weak from the surgery a few months later, so I broke it very badly while playing beach volleyball. Meanwhile, more lesions had appeared on both of my shin, but by then the doctors had already diagnosed me with CRMO. I take 15mg of Mobic (meloxicam) daily, and it works like a charm. I have had no problems since my shins, two years ago. I lead a normal life and my only reminder, besides the pills, are my two twin nine inch scars, one on each upper arm.
