I Have Crps Type 1

I am 29 years old, and I have had Complex Regional Pain Syndrome Type 1 (the cold dystrophy part) for about 4 years now. It is really hard to cope with at times, especially since I have 2 small children. I hate being in pain every single day, but it is something that I have grown used to. I have been through numerous of tests, and numerous things for pain relief and have found that none of them have helped me. I have been on pain pills, RSB shots in my spine once a week for 3 months, Spinal Cord Epideral, to even the Spinal Cord stimulator. I had to have the Spinal Cord stimulator taken out. I couldn't take the back pain and it stopped working for me after about 1 year. I try to keep my mind positive each day, for the sake of my boys. I do have my bad days, where I can't even get out of bed. I have days, where I am able to walk around with the help of a knee brace and an AFL brace on my leg. When the pain gets too much, I use a cane to help me walk. Being a mom can be tough at times, but I do my best, and I have a very good support system with my family and friends, who have helped me along the way.

My CRPS has left me believing that bad things happen to good people for no damn good reason. As a mom of two, ages 10 and 12, and having this for almost 2 years now, I can understand exactly what you are going through. I am so sorry that anyone else would ever understand what this is and have to live with this. I have no advice other than just keep moving forward because I know I am better than this CR(a)PS and I am certain you are, and I know your kids believe you are, better than the CR(a)PS too.

Thank you so much. My boys and my husband have been so supportive through everything. December will be 5 years of dealing with this. I have my good and bad days... Today, is actually one of the bad ones, but I have to keep fighting on, and try and not let this get in my way.
