I'm So Frustrated With The Water And Pain

Hi, I'm in need of anyone's help or suggestions. I have systemic (limited) scleroderma, fibromyalgia, and several other autoimmune disorders. I'm fairly knowledgable about most of it, it being the symptoms (tons), prognosis (no cure at this time), and related issues of CREST except for severe water retention. I haven't found any literature about this on any website or any experience story.
The doctors (rheumatologist, cardiologist, nefrologist, pulminologist, oncologist/hematologist) are all stumped. Diuretics don't help, oral or iv; the water goes out, painful, the water comes back within 24 hours, painful, and the diuretics make my kidneys hurt, even more painful. If I take diuretics every day, my back and kidneys become so painful I can't function. My weight fluctuates as much as 30# every couple of days on diuretics, which in itself is also very painful. I have over 50# of water in my abdomen, legs and feet, it is very disfiguring and adds to the pain.
I am on a strong regimen of pain medication, and even with that, I am in misery every time I move. I would greatly appreciate any feedback or ideas on how to get rid of the water or even if anyone else is experiencing this.

This is an update to my Frustrated with the Water and Pain Story I submitted back in May. I found somewhere on the information highway a suggestion to drink lots (minimum of 8-8 oz glasses) of water with fresh lemon squeezed in. Lemon water can act as a natural diuretic and some feel if you flood your body with water it may actually void the water quicker. I tried, it didn't help; in fact it made me more swollen that I started with. Plus I have bright red "hot spots" on my lower legs and feet. <br />
If you or someone you know suffers from water retention, or if you have any other suggestions, please add your comment to this. Thank you in advance
