I am 26 years old and i suffer from dermatillomania, i have always been a picker, but it didnt get out of hand with me until i was 23 yrs old and pregnant with my son, within the past 3 yrs i have completely destroyed my skin, especially my legs, i feel like a prisoner in my own body, my legs are completely covered in scars that are very dark round circles, plus scabs, i havent been swimming or worn shorts in years and its not just my legs i literally pick every where on my body and have scars everywhere, its just my legs that are the worse, if anyone has any ideas for help in stopping picking or any products that help with scar removal it would be greatly appreciated.

    i'm sure you have heard of mederma ointment which helps, but i had back surgery and for my scars they told me to use vitamin E oil, i think it works wonderfully

    I really feel for you as I experience these things, too. It has gotten so bad I don't want to leave the house. Trying some new meds and 2 therapy session a week. I have begun to get better but have left permanent scars all over my body. Glad to know i am not alone.
