Diabetes Insipidus/hypothyroid

I was diagnosed when I was five with DI. When I was 15, I also found out that I had hypothyroidism. My DI is currently under control with the use of DDAVP. I just wondered....Is there anyone out there having problems with being low in vitamins such as calcium, iron, B-12, folic acid, etc.. I havn't been able to find a doctor to tell me why I am deficient in these certain vitamins. I get sent around to many different doctors. They all prescribe me a bagful of prescriptions and send me home. I wish I knew what was wrong with me. I wish I could find a doctor to tell me something. I feel terrible. I have four kids and not enough energy to keep up with them. I am so tired. I can't focus. I have a hard time remembering things. It's frustrating. Please let me know if there is someone else out there going through the same thing.

I also had the similar problem. I think U need Hydrocortisone. Pls consult your Doctor for this. It will really help you and UR energy levels will come back to normal levels. Pls consult endocrinologist for this.

Hey there,
I don't have any kids, but I understand where you are coming from. I am 21, and have had DI for half my life. I can't give blood to save someone's life because my iron is too low, I am almost as brittle as an old woman because I can't keep calcium in my body and I bruise so easily. I truly feel awful for you and your situation, I can imagine keeping up with four kids would be difficult. I am constantly exhausted and depressed, and the depression makes me want to sleep more. I can't remember things very well, my memories are pretty much gone. Hun, I am sure your life is much more pressing than mine and I just want to tell you that I am proud of you. You are there for children, even when it sounds like you have no support system. People are here for you. I believe in you, you just remember that.
Sincerely,
