Oddball, Eh?

I went to the eye doctor yesterday. Something sort of stood out in an odd way. He came in, shook my hand and started talking about my updates. Asked if there were any headaches, allergies, or abnormal things going on. Of course, I said no as usual. Then, he proceeded to ask about my medicine. Being such an "oddball" case, he asked how long I would be on Desmopressin. I looked at him, I know with a puzzled look on my face. "Well, approximately forever." He chuckled lightly, then continued on with the exam. While reading those blurry letters, I got to thinking. Does everyone who knows think I'm an "oddball case"? Once finished, I walked to my car. I know I sat there for at least 20 minutes pondering. I can't get the phrase out of my head. Why am I the strange one, maybe everyone else needs to walk ad ay in our shoes. They'll be the ones that feel odd.

Sometimes I feel the same way, people just don't understand how difficult it can be having DI. Then I think the same as you, if only they could live one day with DI, they probably wouldn't be able to stand a second with always being thirsty, and always having to go to the bathroom, (being that the Desmopressin only lasts so long) Sorry I just had to comment on your story. Hope to hear back from you!

Just remembered about this site. Thanks for replying. Some people wouldn't understand a day in the life of us. Thanks for your support!
