24 Years and Counting...

I have been battling diabetes for almost my whole life. I was diagnosed when I was 17 months old. I am 25 now. I pretty much lost my dad and my grandfather to diabetes. The reason I say pretty much was because my dad went in for a Kidney/ Pancreas transplant and his body rejected the organs and my grandfather had Kidney failure due to Diabetes. They both died when I was 11.

About 2 years ago, I stopped taking insulin shots and switched to an insulin pump. It's great and I love it. Now I only wish that I could get my depression under control so I can get my A1C down!

Try yoga or meditation for your depression. And a healthy lifestyle is always good. My grandma had diabetes too and died from a heart attack. Hope you can get you depression under control.
