I Am a Diabetic

I have had diabetes for at least 10 years now, and at first I was on different pills and that didn't help, so now I am on two different kinds of Insulin. I have to take 4 shots a day, but I am used to now.

I have been diagnosed with diabetes 2 1/2 years ago. At first I was on different pills and that didn't help, so now I am on two different kinds of Insulin. I have to take 4 shots a day. I started 4 days ago with this new Novolog Flexpen but I still cant get my numbers right. I count the carbs, do the math with the units, but I can't get it right. Either I get too low blood sugar levels or too high.Any suggestions anybody ??

its better if you take the same amount every time and eat at the same time everyday, that helps to control them alot. if you are eating at random times everyay then you sugars will all over the place.

I am recently diagnosed and still struggling with the control. I must admit i am lazy with it, however i wanted to gain y PADI open water and have been told i can not do it unti i have my sugar levels under control - probably a good thing and the kick up the bum i need to buckle down and deal with it!

Yeah I hate being a diabetic that is also Insulin Resistant. My doctor has changed my oral medicine and my insulin. I'm now on 3 different insulins a day. I give myself 8 shots a day and take oral medication. My sugar is finally not in the 200's. First time since I found out almost 7yrs ago.
