Almost Every Night Now.

I've been having dreams lately that I find incredibly disturbing.

Almost every night, I wake up at some point. It's always the same. I'm either shaking or practically jumping out of my skin when I awaken. I cannot remember the dreams very well, but I do know that it's generally because something, or someone, was following me and drawing nearer and nearer. Many a time it is a man of indeterminable age. He always looks different... but it is always a man. Always far too close to me for comfort. Always a look of malicious intent on his face.

It scares the hell out of me, and takes me a long time to get back to sleep.

I'm scared to death that these dreams are trying to tell me something.

You may be right. I've been under a ridiculous amount of stress lately. And there are several things I've yet to face. You are encouraging, though. Thank you.

Hi. Your dream is happening because there is some sort of unpleasant situation coming up for you, which you know you must inevitably deal with but don't really want to face it. You are really stressed about this situation, whatever it is, and afraid of how it will all go down. This worry is presenting itself in your dreams as a menacing figure coming closer and closer. It could be something as commonplace as upcoming exams, or a confession you must make to someone, or being "found out" about something. Whatever it is, once you start dealing with difficult situations, it gets easier, and sometimes isn't nearly so bad as you feared it would be!
