MY Story

I had my first bout when I was 42 but did not realize what it was. When I had my second attack I was 56, I was on antibiotics for quite a while, then a year later I had my thrid attack and ended up in the hospital for 3 days talking to a surgeron. I had my first surgery on August 25 I nearly died, I was in the hospital for 8 days, released then back in one day after going home because I had a leak so another surgery to make a colostomy pouch 7 days in this time. My insurance did not want to pay for the supplies for my bags and nurse, it was horrible.. I had yet another infection serious, was admitted into the hospital once again for another 6 days, then home on IV antibiotics for 2 weeks alson on a machine to help heal my wound. Finally 3 months after my last surgery I had another surgery to re connect my colon and get rid of the bag. Hooray! It worked, but 3 months later I developed a hernia from all the surgeries and had to have ONEmore. so my total surgeries in 11 months was 4. OH MY! I am healthy now and eat anything. You are very strong woman, with your son and asthma and you having problems, must of been scary!! But keep your head up you seem to be well now and good luck in the future!!!

your very strong! i love that about you you've been through sooo much and yet you still find time to help out a friend. you never let it stop you and got stronger! your one of my heros your a great inspiration!
